NXTevent Hosts a Grandslam Night for its Strategic and Vendor Community!
Regional Boston, MA August 2003 - NXTevent hosted its first strategic and vendor community event in July, 2003.
From the Founder and President, Allyson O’Connor, “NXTevent has experienced a number of successes since our inception and we could not have accomplished all that we have without the ongoing support of our industry relationships, vendors, contract staff and client relationships. This was a unique way of thanking our strategic partnership and vendor community.”
Recognized at the event were Joanne O’Connell, Business and Program Manager, and Karen Zilinek, Director of Business Development, both of whom have been with NXTevent since its inception.
The furthest traveling guests came from Portland, Maine, Brian Perkins, COO of Diversified Business Communications, brought a few of his team members along with him. “NXTevent proved once again that they had mastered the art of exceeding expectations. I attended their strategic relationship party event expecting to see a baseball game, walked into the tailgate party room and was wowed by the atmosphere and energy. I had two of our show directors with me. Within the first 30 minutes we agreed we had to create a similar program for Diversified. We manage over 45 international tradeshows annually and we have pinpointed a need to engage all of our communities.”
A highlight of the evening was a Raffle of (2) Red Sox vs. the Yankees tickets, with all charitable proceeds going to the Women’s Lunch Place of Boston. For over twenty years the Women’s Lunch Place has been a daytime community in Boston for poor and homeless women and their children, open every day of the year to offer food and a full spectrum of advocacy and support services to each of its guests.
“As a SOMWBA and WBENC certified company, this part of the event program just was exciting for us as it not only reinforced our owner’s commitment and dedication to the advancement of women but that also speaks to NXTevent’s overall philosophy to support numerous organizations with unique marketing channels and fundraising opportunities that allow us to give back to the social community”, says Karen Zilinek, Director of Business Development for NXTevent
